Phase 2 : Building

Step 1: Laying the Foundation
The first steps of construction are the concrete slab and framing. Once those are complete, we move on to heating & cooling, electrical, and plumbing. These steps typically take between 1 & 3 months, depending on the weather.

Step 2: Pre-Sheetrock Meeting
Before sheetrock is installed, your personal builder meets with you to discuss placement of electrical outlets, lights, and low voltage (security system, phone, cable).

Step 3: Installing Finishes
Following sheetrock, the cabinets, trim, flooring, paint, and home finishes take shape.

Step 4: New Home Orientation
This is the first official walk through of your new home once it is finished! You will walk through with your builder and “punch out” the home, identifying final details to be touched up. At this time, your builder also shows you how to operate the features of your new home.

Step 5: Final Walk Through
About 7-10 days after the New Home Orientation, there will be a final walk through with your builder to make sure everything on your orientation list has been taken care of.

Step 6: Closing
Once the Certificate of Occupancy is rewarded, it is time for closing! This is when you will go to the title company to sign paperwork for your new home, and officially get your keys.

Step 7: One Year Warranty
For the first year living in your new home, Regency provides a one year limited home warranty. Our warranty team is local and in-house. You can meet them here.
